Spring time planting advice from A. W. aka "Tree Mama"

(1)As soon as the peppers put on the third leaf tranplant them deeper--up to 1/2 inch from the leaves-- in a bigger pot. They will put on new roots even on the stems and be much heathier! When they are abouat 6 inches tall, snip the bottom leaves off and put them in bigger pots again! One gallon is about right. You will be surprised at how much better they will produce for you! About Memorial day plant them outside with a hot cap or something to protect them. If you use a one gallon milk bottle, take the lid off or you will cook them! They will be crispy critters and that is all you will have!
(2)Do the same for the tomatoes!
(3) Before the snow melts go to Valley Wide in Rexburg and get a bag of fertilizer that Ed had them mix especially for people in our area and put it on the garden. As the snow melts it will go into the soil and make you garden perform much better!Love to all! Thank you again for all the goodies everyone brings, the cheery phone calls and personal visits...Thank you, Thank you. Blessings on you all!
